The tour of the center of Vladikavkaz was an exciting experience for the international students of NOSU. During the excursion, the students walked through the historical center of the city and visited Pushkin Square, Freedom Square, Shtyb Square, the Armenian Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator, the Sunni Mosque, Mira Avenue, and Kosta Khetagurov Central Park.

During the tour, the international students learned about why the city of Vladikavkaz has two names, when A.S. Pushkin visited Vladikavkaz, and what role the Military-Georgian Road played in the city’s development.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Coordination Center of NOSU as part of the School of Ethno-Cultural Adaptation for International Students “We in Russia.”
