The Center for International Cooperation at NOSU offers services to prepare foreign citizens and persons without citizenship – who have completed their full secondary education and are in possession of the necessary documents to prove it (i.e. qualification, certificate, diploma) – to receive higher education at a Russian tertiary institution.

Our preparatory course provides prospective students who do not know any Russian or who do not have enough knowledge of Russian to acquire the necessary language skills in order to enroll in a bachelor, specialization, master, internship or PhD program of their choice.

Our study programs adhere to all the requirements of additional public education and enable foreign citizens and persons without citizenship to master professional academic programs in Russian (according to Decree 03.10.2014 No. 1304 from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation).

The preparatory course for foreign citizens and persons without citizenship consists of the following options according to their interests and planned study field:

  • Natural Science: main subjects – Russian language, mathematics, physics, chemistry; additional subjects – biology, computer science, geography, history.
  • Technology and Engineering: main subjects – Russian language, mathematics, physics, computer science; additional subjects – chemistry, drawing, history, social studies.
  • Humanities: main subjects – Russian language, social studies, history, literature; additional subjects – mathematics, computer science, biology, geography, natural science.
  • Economics: main subjects – Russian language, social studies, history, mathematics; additional subjects – computer science, geography, natural science.
  • Medicine and Biology: main subjects – Russian language, chemistry, biology, physics; additional subjects – mathematics, computer science, social studies, history.

The duration of the preparatory course:

  • annual program – 40 weeks, lectures commence on 15 September

Submission of documents for the preparatory course in 2024/2025 is carried out in remote access via email inter.nosu@mail.ru:

  • for the annual program – from 1 June 2024 to 1 November 2024

Foreign applicants need to supply ALL of the following documents:

  • An application form (provided by the department after obtaining the documents indicated below).
  • Proof of full secondary education, listing the subjects taken and marks achieved (Apostille or consular certification for the documents released in Перечень стран
  • A copy of passport (with a compulsory Russian translation).

The translations of the documents into Russian must be notarized or certified by the Russian Embassy or Consulate in the country where the documents were issued. 

NB!

After arriving at NOSU a foreign applicant needs to supply the following documents:

  • Original documents
  • A medical certificate
  • Proof the applicant has tested negative for HIV.

The expenses can be estimated as follows:

  • Tuition fee
  • for the annual program – 85 000 RUB
  • Cost of accommodation in the students’ hostel — from 600 to 1500 RUB per month
  • Health insurance or contract for medical service — averagely 3800 RUB, depending on issuing organization (a foreign applicant must have it 5 days after his/her arrival at NOSU)
