Kosta Khetagurov North Ossetia State University signed a cooperation agreement with one of the best higher education institutions in Spain and the European Union, namely Alcalá University.
For more than 500 years students from all over the world have been receiving excellent education here. The university is situated at the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, the famous Spanish writer, in the town Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).
The bilateral agreement foresees cooperation in both education and scientific research as well as academic and cultural exchange between the universities.
“Spain’s cultural and linguistic influence on the world is extensive. Spanish is the second most widespread language after Chinese. We intend to develop cooperation in this direction,” – NOSU’s rector Alan Ogoyev said.
Today, Alcalá University is an innovative and modern tertiary institution totally adjusted to the European higher education environment.
The university offers study not only in humanitarian fields, like history,
philosophy, literature and language studies, but also specializes in biology, chemistry, pharmaceutics, economics, architecture, tourism and more.
Alcalá State University is listed among the top 100 universities in the world by QS Rankings and Times Higher Education. It is one of the top 5 UNESCO cultural heritage site universities .
