On Russia’s Student Day an agreement was signed to open a regional branch of the International Students Association (ISA) on the premises of North Ossetia State University. This new organization will assist foreign students in adapting easier to life in North Ossetia.

“Opening a branch of the Association at our university is the first of its kind in the Republic. It will enable cultural and humanitarian exchange between young Russian and overseas students, which makes participation in this project extremely important to North Ossetian universities” NOSU’s rector, Alan Ogoyev, announced.

The agreement foresees recruiting foreign applicants to study at the university, organizing excursions to acquaint foreign students with some of the historical and cultural traditions of North Ossetia as well as providing foreign students with legal and emotional support. When foreign students took the initiative to create the International Students Association the Russian Ministry of Education and Science supported them.
